Randolph, Vermont, established by Vermont charter in 1781, is the largest town in Orange County. As of the 2000 census, it had an approximate population of 4,853. Originally there were three villages, Randolph Center, East Randolph and West Randolph, but today West Randolph is known as Randolph and is home to its downtown area.
