The third drawing of the Holiday Shopping Card Promotion sponsored by the Randolph Area Chamber of Commerce was held Tuesday December 13th at Belmains. Penney Young chose the names of seven winners in the “Look Local, Buy Local, Win Local” campaign. This week, 502 cards were turned in, up from 222 cards in week one and 473 in week two

The Randolph Area Chamber of Commerce invites area shoppers to “Look Local, Buy Local, and Win Local” starting on Friday, Nov. 25 as we kick off the annual Holiday Shopping Card Promotion. Shoppers can pick up their cards in Randolph, Bethel and Royalton from 33 participating merchants.

On Sept. 1, 2011, the president signed a major disaster declaration
for the state of Vermont due to damage caused by Tropical Storm Irene.
This declaration allows eligible families and individuals in the
designated counties to receive grants to cover temporary housing and
serious disaster-related needs and reimbursement for expenses not
covered by insurance or other assistance programs. The designated
counties for Individual Assistance are Addison, Bennington, Caledonia,
Chittenden, Orange, Rutland, Washington, Windham and Windsor. Be sure to read the full article.
