Delectable Food, Delightful Company, Deserved Recognition and Dazzling Entertainment
The White River Valley Chamber of Commerce welcomes all to attend their Annual Meeting and Celebration on Friday, February 21st from 5-8 PM at Chandler Center for the Arts. The event will focus on celebrating all the Chamber has accomplished in 2013 and the direction it is headed for 2014. Executive Director Emma Schumann describes it as, “An evening of delectable food, delightful company, deserved recognition and dazzling entertainment.”
Premiering at the event will be a video created by T.C. Webb with assistance from students at Randolph Technical Career Center emphasizing Chamber Membership and what it means. Interviewed for the video were four persons from member businesses; Sam Lincoln from Lincoln Farm, Dr. Ann Carroll from Chelsea Animal Hospital, Joe Woodin from Gifford Medical Center and Becky McMeekin from Chandler Center for the Arts.
The Business Person of the Year award and the first Chamber Business Excellence award will also be presented. This year’s Chamber Business Person of the Year is Jeff Tucker from Dubois and King. Clara Martin Center will be receiving the Business Excellence award for their work in the community.
Entertainment will follow the presentations. Actor, singer and dancer John Marshall, accompanied by R. Lee Adams will dazzle attendees with jazz, acting and a bit of comedy. John is a graduate of the Sharon Academy, and recently returned from the American Music and Dramatic Academy in New York. John has created a special 30 minute show just for the Chamber audience.
The event will be held in Chandler’s Upper level. There will be food catered by Black Krim Tavern, and a cash bar. Tickets are on sale until Monday, February 17th. Please call the Chamber directly to order your tickets today (728-9027).

Chamber Legislative Breakfast
7:30 to 9 AM, March 10th
Vermont Tech’s SHAPE Center
We are pleased to announce a Legislative Breakfast is being held on Monday, March 10th from 7:30 AM to 9 AM at Vermont Tech’s SHAPE Student Center thanks to the sponsorship of Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission. The special guests will be governor Peter Shumlin.
A hot breakfast will be served at 7:30 AM. At 8 AM, the Governor will have 15 minutes to address the attendees and discuss his agenda. There will then be time for the audience to ask questions and bring up topics of interest.
